Even So

Under the twinkling of the stars,
I looked at the figure that makes me smile
Though I try to hide this bit of joy,
Her light is one you can't avoid.

 Gaze is far at the other isle,
Standing still, hoping for a call,
No matter how much I wait, for a long, long while,
It seems like I can't move from who it is I fall.

 Like the way I'd fit all the musical notes
in the scores I use for my guitar
At first, it seems to understand it is something I don't
Now I can't even stay still when from me, you're far.

 With every nip of the cold winds at my skin,
With every chirp of the free passerine birds,
Arms wrapped around the freezing body,
Mind restless, still and forever troubled.

 Like the way a mother kisses her child,
Love so evident and truly remarkable
Every day, I fall in love all over again
Every second I spend with you is as valuable.
